Meet Our Current & Future Clinicians
At UniquelyU Counseling, we are proud to mentor the next generation of mental health professionals who are committed to culturally grounded, emotionally authentic care. Our interns bring curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to lean into the hard conversations that lead to true healing.

One of our current interns is learning alongside staff, growing in the work of supporting Black men and women as they navigate grief, emotional disconnection, relational challenges, and the complexities of life often overlooked in traditional therapy spaces. With a heart for service and a vision for their own future practice, they are developing the skills to help individuals reclaim their voice, regulate their emotions, and live with intention.

At UniquelyU, we believe that the future of mental health is shaped by clinicians who show up with courage, cultural awareness, and love—and our interns are living proof of that mission in action.

Meet Marva
Marva Allen, PLPC
Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor

Marva brings a grounded, compassionate presence to UniquelyU Counseling, with a special focus on supporting women who are striving to maintain their mental and emotional wellness while navigating the demands of corporate America. She understands the pressure of showing up strong in every room, balancing ambition with exhaustion, and trying to thrive in environments that don’t always make space for vulnerability or humanity.

Her work centers on helping women reconnect with themselves beyond titles, responsibilities, and expectations. Through culturally attuned, emotionally safe conversations, she guides clients in exploring burnout, self-worth, identity, imposter fatigue, boundary-setting, stress, and the quiet moments where they feel unseen despite their success.

As a PLPC, Marva is committed to walking alongside women who are ready to step out of survival mode and into intentional living. She helps clients tune into their emotional needs, regulate the overwhelm, and rediscover the version of themselves that shows up with clarity, confidence, and calm.

She is deeply aligned with UniquelyU’s mission to create healing spaces where individuals feel understood, supported, and empowered to grow, both personally and professionally. Her passion is helping women breathe again, reclaim their voice, and thrive without losing themselves in the process.
